Subtitle Animation Presets
7 Animated Subtitle Entrance Effects for Reels and Shorts
Subtitle animation controls how each word or phrase enters the screen. Bitcut includes 7 animation presets, each with a different visual feel. Animations apply to both karaoke and full line modes, and are preserved in the exported video.
The 7 Presets
Fade
Words smoothly fade in from transparent to fully visible. Clean and unobtrusive — a safe choice for any content type.
Pop
Words scale up quickly from small to full size with a slight overshoot. Energetic and attention-grabbing. Popular for fast-paced Shorts.
Slide Up
Words slide in from below their final position. Gives a sense of upward momentum. Works well with bottom-positioned subtitles.
Typewriter
Words appear one by one as if being typed, each revealing from invisible to visible in sequence. Creates a deliberate, storytelling feel.
Bounce
Words drop in with a spring-like bounce effect. Playful and dynamic — great for casual, fun content.
Glow
Words appear with a luminous glow effect that fades in. Adds a subtle premium feel. Works especially well on dark video backgrounds.
Wave
Words animate in with a wave-like motion that ripples across the text. Fluid and eye-catching without being too aggressive.
How to Choose
Open the subtitle settings and scroll to the Animation section. Tap any preset to apply it instantly. The video preview updates in real time so you can play the clip and see how the animation looks with your content.
Animations and Subtitle Modes
In karaoke mode, the animation applies to each word group as it appears, while individual word highlighting happens independently. In full line mode, the animation applies to the entire phrase as a single unit.
All 7 animations work with every background type (gradient, plate, none) and stroke setting.
