Highlight Video Maker

Give Bitcut a long stream recording and get one highlight video of 10, 20 or 30 minutes. It is a horizontal 16:9 file, ready for YouTube, with chapters for the description.

Get Bitcut on the App Store

Takes a Twitch or YouTube recording link or a video file. Your first stream of up to 3 hours can be processed free.

How it works

Step 1

Open the stream recording

Paste a Twitch or YouTube recording link in the Bitcut app for iPhone, or choose the recording as a file. The stream can be up to 5 hours long.

Step 2

Pick 10, 20 or 30 minutes

Decide how long the finished highlight video should be. Bitcut selects moments to fit that length.

Step 3

Check the selected moments

The review screen lists every moment with a preview, its position, length and score. Switch moments on or off and watch the total length change.

Step 4

Export for YouTube

Export the highlight reel in 16:9 and copy the chapters for your video description with one button.

Make a highlight video from a long stream

A five-hour recording is too long to post and too long to cut by hand. Bitcut listens to all of it and selects whole moments, then joins them into one video of the length you chose. Each moment keeps its beginning and end, and the order stays as it was on air.

You stay in control of the result. Before the export, every moment can be switched on or off, and the total length updates as you go.

A highlight reel ready for YouTube

The export is a horizontal 16:9 file, the format a YouTube channel expects for a stream recap. Chapters for the description are copied with one button, so viewers can jump to the moment they came for.

Processing runs on the server and the app can be closed.

FAQ

What does a highlight video maker do?
It reduces a long recording to the stretches worth watching and joins them into one video. Bitcut does this for stream recordings in its iPhone app.
What format is the result?
A horizontal 16:9 video, the usual shape for a YouTube upload. Vertical shorts from highlights are not part of this feature yet.
How long can the highlight reel be?
You pick 10, 20 or 30 minutes before processing. You can also switch individual moments off on the review screen and see the final length.
Are the moments rearranged?
No. They stay in the order they happened in the stream, so the highlight video tells the stream from start to finish.
Can I make a highlight reel from a live stream while it is running?
No. Bitcut works with the recording after the stream has ended. Use the recording link or the downloaded file.
How long can the source stream be?
Up to 5 hours. Use a Twitch or YouTube recording link, or choose the video file on your iPhone. Twitch recordings for subscribers only do not open by link, so download the recording and pick the file.
Do I get YouTube chapters?
Yes. One button copies the chapters for your YouTube description, one line for each moment in the video.
What does it cost?
The first stream of up to 3 hours can be processed free, and the video has a "Made with Bitcut" watermark. Later streams are paid per stream, or you can subscribe to Streamer for 15 streams a month. Prices depend on your country in the App Store.
