Livestream Clip Maker

Bitcut for iPhone listens to a recorded stream of up to 5 hours and picks its best moments. Review them on one screen, switch any moment on or off, and export the result.

Get Bitcut on the App Store

Works with recordings from Twitch and YouTube, or a video file from your phone. Your first stream of up to 3 hours can be processed free.

How it works

Step 1

Add the recording

In the Bitcut app, paste the link to a Twitch or YouTube stream recording, or pick the recording as a video file. Streams up to 5 hours are supported.

Step 2

Choose the total length

Set how long the result should be: 10, 20 or 30 minutes.

Step 3

Let Bitcut listen

Processing runs on the server, so you can close the app. Bitcut goes through the whole stream and selects complete moments.

Step 4

Review and export

Look through the moments, switch off the ones you do not want and export the video in 16:9.

Make live clips from a stream recording

A stream runs for hours, and the parts people want to see again are a small share of it: a fight won at the last second, a joke that lands, a story told in full. Bitcut listens to the whole recording and picks those parts as complete moments, so a clip does not start in the middle of a sentence.

You choose the length of the result before the run — 10, 20 or 30 minutes — and Bitcut fits the selection to it. The moments stay in broadcast order, so the video follows the stream from start to finish.

Get stream highlights on your iPhone

Everything happens in one app. Paste a Twitch or YouTube link or choose a file, wait for the server to finish, and open the review screen. Each moment shows a preview, where it sits in the stream, how long it is and a score.

When the selection looks right, export a horizontal 16:9 video. The chapters for your YouTube description are copied with one button, so the timestamps do not have to be typed by hand.

FAQ

What is a livestream clip maker?
It is a tool that goes through a long stream recording and picks the moments worth keeping. In Bitcut this is the Stream to Highlights feature in the iPhone app.
Does it work during a live stream?
No. Bitcut works with the recording after the broadcast has ended, so wait until the stream is finished and its recording is available.
Which streams can I use?
A link to a Twitch or YouTube stream recording, or a video file of the recording chosen on your iPhone. The stream can be up to 5 hours long.
Why does my Twitch link not open?
Twitch recordings that are for subscribers only cannot be opened by link. Download the recording and choose the file in the app instead.
How long is each clip?
Each moment is kept whole, from its start to its end, so a story or a fight is never cut in the middle. The moments stay in the order they happened on air.
Can I change what Bitcut picked?
Yes. The review screen lists every moment with a preview, its position in the stream, its length and a score. You can switch any moment on or off and see the total length of the result.
Do I have to keep the app open while it processes?
No. The processing happens on the server, and you can close the app and come back to the result later.
Is it free?
The first stream of up to 3 hours can be processed free, and the exported video carries a "Made with Bitcut" watermark. After that you pay per stream or subscribe to Streamer, which covers 15 streams a month. Prices depend on your country in the App Store.
