FAQ

Does this tool upload my subtitles to a server?
No — everything runs locally in your browser. Your subtitle text never leaves your device.
What is the difference between SRT and VTT?
SRT (SubRip) is the most common format, supported by almost every video player. VTT (WebVTT) is the web standard, used in HTML5 video, YouTube and web-based players. The main differences are the header and how milliseconds are separated (comma vs dot).
Can I shift subtitle timing?
Yes — enter a positive number to push subtitles later, or a negative number to pull them earlier. For example, +1.5 shifts every cue forward by 1.5 seconds.
What if my subtitles are out of sync?
Use the timing shift to compensate. If the offset changes throughout the video, you may need a dedicated subtitle editor like Aegisub for frame-accurate sync.
