Subtitle Style Presets
Apply a Complete Subtitle Look with One-Tap Presets
Styling subtitles from scratch every time is tedious. Bitcut includes 5 built-in style presets that each apply a complete subtitle look with a single tap — font size, colors, background, animation, position, and stroke are all set at once. You can also save your own custom presets to reuse across projects.
The 5 Built-In Presets
Classic
White text on a clean, minimal background. Readable on nearly any video. A reliable starting point when you want subtitles that stay out of the way while remaining easy to read.
Bold Pop
Large, bold text with a colored background plate. High contrast and impossible to miss. Designed for fast-paced Shorts where you need subtitles to grab attention immediately.
Neon
Glowing text with a dark background. Gives a vibrant, electric feel. Works especially well on nighttime footage or dark-toned videos where the glow effect can stand out.
Minimal
Small text with no background — just a thin stroke outline for readability. Stays subtle so the video remains the focus. Ideal for cinematic content or when subtitles should be present but not dominant.
Cinema
Centered text with a gradient background and a cinematic feel. Inspired by film subtitles with balanced spacing and a polished look. A strong choice for narrative content and trailers.
Applying a Preset
Open subtitle settings
Tap the subtitle settings button on a clip that has subtitles. The settings panel opens with all styling options.
Browse presets
At the top of the settings panel, you will see the preset selector. Scroll through the available presets to see their names.
Tap to apply
Tap any preset and all subtitle settings update instantly. The video preview reflects the change in real time so you can play the clip and see the result before committing.
Creating Custom Presets
If none of the built-in presets match your brand or style, you can create your own. Adjust any combination of settings — font size, colors, background type, animation, position, and stroke — then save the result as a custom preset.
Style your subtitles
Set up the exact look you want using the individual controls in subtitle settings. Take your time — every option will be captured in the preset.
Save as preset
Tap the save button to store your current settings as a new custom preset. Give it a recognizable name so you can find it later.
Reuse across projects
Your custom preset appears alongside the built-in presets. Tap it in any project to apply the same look instantly.
Managing Custom Presets
Custom presets can be renamed or deleted at any time. Long-press a custom preset to see management options. Renaming is useful when your style evolves and the original name no longer fits. Deleting a preset does not affect videos that were already exported with that style.
