Subtitle Formatting Presets
Choose How AI Formats Your Transcribed Subtitle Text
When Bitcut transcribes your audio using AI, it doesn't just convert speech to text — it also processes the text through a formatting step. You can choose how aggressively the AI transforms the transcribed words by selecting one of four formatting presets. Each preset progressively changes the text more from the original spoken words.
When to Choose a Preset
Select your formatting preset before running AI processing. The preset applies during the Enhance Clips or Smart Add with AI workflow. Changing the preset after subtitles are generated requires reprocessing.
Minimal
Correction only. Fixes typos, spelling errors, and punctuation. No structural changes to the text. What was said is what you get, cleaned up for readability.
Best for: Interviews, depositions, podcasts, or any content where preserving the speaker's exact words matters.
Standard
Balanced formatting. Corrects errors and adds proper capitalization, sentence structure, and punctuation. Minor adjustments for clarity without changing the meaning or wording.
Best for: Most content. This is the default preset and works well for tutorials, vlogs, presentations, and general social media videos.
Dynamic
Enhanced readability. Restructures sentences for better flow, adds emphasis markers, and makes phrasing more engaging. The AI may reorder clauses or tighten wordy passages while keeping the original meaning intact.
Best for: Promotional content, product reviews, storytelling, and entertainment videos where you want the text to feel polished and energetic.
Dramatic
Maximum transformation. Rewrites for impact with shorter, punchy phrases and dramatic pacing. The AI may significantly change wording to create more compelling subtitle text.
Best for: Trailers, hype videos, motivational content, and any format where visual impact outweighs verbatim accuracy.
