Quick answer: Open Stream → Highlights on the home screen, paste a Twitch or YouTube link or choose a file, and pick a target length of 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Bitcut listens to the whole recording, proposes the best moments, and lets you tick the ones you want. Export the result as a 16:9 highlight reel with chapters, or tap Make Shorts to get vertical clips.

What Stream Highlights Does

A long stream holds a handful of moments worth keeping and hours around them. Stream Highlights does the watching for you. It transcribes the recording, picks complete episodes in chronological order, and shows them in a list you can review before anything is rendered. The result is a short version of the stream that still tells it in order, and a source for vertical Shorts.

Availability: Stream Highlights is switched on per account. If you do not see Stream → Highlights on the home screen yet, it is not enabled for your account.

Start a Highlight

1

Paste a link or choose a file

Choose 10, 20 or 30 minutes for the finished reel. Then tap Find best moments.

Let it work

A long stream takes a while. The job shows its stage and an estimate, and you can close the app while it runs.

Review the Moments

When the search is done, the review screen lists every proposed moment in the order it happened. Each row shows:

  • a preview frame (tap it to watch the moment);
  • a title and a one-to-three line summary;
  • a score badge, green for 8 and above, orange for 6 to 7, grey below;
  • the moment's position in the stream and its length;
  • a check mark. Tap the text to include or leave out the moment.

The header shows how much of your target length the selection fills, so you can trim the list until it fits. Moments that did not make the cut stay in the list, dimmed, in case you want them back.

Export the Reel and Chapters

Export renders the selected moments in stream order as one 16:9 video. Bitcut also prepares chapters for the YouTube description, following YouTube's rules: the first chapter starts at 0:00, there are at least three, and each lasts at least ten seconds. The finished reel is saved as a project under the original stream.

Turn Highlights into Shorts

On the result screen tap Make Shorts. Bitcut runs Generate Shorts on the reel and builds vertical clips from it. On a stream, a normal face-tracking crop is a poor fit, because other faces can appear in the browser, in clips or in a game. Instead, Bitcut looks for your webcam frame, shows it on a still so you can correct the box, and lays each Short out with the webcam on top and the game or screen below. Other options are Webcam only, Content only and Off, which is a plain crop.

After that, each Short is cut into scenes, so the layout can change when the shot changes. Subtitles, music and export work as in any other project; see export subtitles.
