Organize Bitcut Projects: Rename, Duplicate and Delete

The project list is your home screen in Bitcut. Each project card shows the project name, a thumbnail, and the total duration. Long-press any project card to access management options.

Renaming a Project

Long-press the project card and tap Rename. Type a new name and confirm. The name is for your organization only — it doesn't affect the exported filename.

Duplicating a Project

Long-press and tap Duplicate. Bitcut creates an exact copy of the project with all clips, settings, subtitles, and timeline state. The copy is named "Project Name (copy)". Useful for creating variations — for example, one vertical and one horizontal version of the same edit.

Deleting a Project

Long-press and tap Delete. A confirmation dialog appears. Deleting a project removes all project data and cached thumbnails. It does not delete the original source videos from your photo library or external drive.

Deletion is permanent. There's no trash or undo for project deletion. If you might want the project later, consider duplicating it first.

Project List Order

Projects are sorted by last modified date — the most recently edited project appears first. Opening a project or making any edit moves it to the top of the list.
